I have been avoiding natural colors and using the bright saturated ones instead.

Do you remember what you wanted to be when you were a child? One of my favorite memories from my childhood was visiting my father's graphic design studio where I was able to use artist markers and paper to create drawings, from that moment I knew that I would grow up to be an artist. My home education in high school allowed me the freedom to take community education courses at the Art Academy of Cincinnati. The director of the Community Education Art Show chose one of my paintings to display in their annual art show.

After high school, I worked and lived on my own until I was in a car accident that forced me to move back in with my parents. We relocated to Dayton, Ohio from our home-town of Cincinnati. In Dayton, I attended Sinclair Community College where I took many visual art classes. In the two years I was at Sinclair, I received 2nd Place and Honorable mention in the category of printmaking in the Annual Juried Student Art Show, and had one of my intaglio prints selected for a national art competition amongst community colleges, for which I received an honorable mention.

After living in Ohio most of my life, I decided to move to Arizona to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts at Arizona State University. I’m currently working on that degree at Glendale Community College. I have now lived in Arizona for a year, and I appreciate that moving to a new location has truly brought about some new inspiration for me.

Currently my favorite types of art to create are prints (etchings, monotypes, linoleum cuts, and more), photography, and pastel drawings. My work includes both realistic pieces and abstract pieces. For the last year and a half, I have been using very vibrant and saturated colors in place of the natural and neutral colors I worked with in the past. Some artists like the process of conceptualizing a piece of art, and some like selling their art. I have and always will enjoy the process of creating art.
