J Timothy (Tim) Dotson

I have been a multiple medium artist in visual arts professionally since 1976. I spent time in the Central Community Gallery & Studios in the middle '90's at the Hub Building in downtown Phoenix. I am currently back in school to get my BA in art education. I will go on for my MA and Phd. My interests are eclectic and wide, and I have also had a career in the construction trades (among other things). I am quite sure this has influenced my use of mediums and techniques in fine arts. I have developed a few techniques of my own, such as faux fresco and some unusual watercolor tricks.
I have only begun to develop what I hope will be a whole new legacy in my visual art projects, and I am seeking support and funding. I will be developing my own art curriculum, but that is a secret for now...so don't tell anyone.
I love all art and all artists (only minor exceptions that have to do with character, not art), and I am sure we are the salt of the earth. It all begins and ends where we live. All ideas begin as art, as concept, as visualization. Nothing moves without that. A sketch, a diagram, it is all art. Every endeavor begins here.
