The Lyceum is one of two main performances spaces for the School of Theatre and Film’s main stage and applied project productions at Arizona State University. With its 2005 inclusion of film into its program, the School of Theatre and Film explores the links of study and application between live performance and filmmaking, including concentrations ranging from acting to design and to media production.

The original structure for the theatre was built in 1917 and became the Lyceum Theatre in 1964. In 1980, after a $1.2 million renovation, the theatre became the department’s first new performance venue.
