Joel Lyons

Hi, I'm Joel. Broadcast journalism graduate of ASU who is currently pursuing a master's degree in journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia (prayer requests happily accepted to guarantee that I finish). I have two jobs, one as an editorial assistant at a magazine and another as a promotions assistant for a radio station group. I'm a huge music fanatic and have an obscene number of songs at my disposal. I also enjoy reading, going out and spending time with friends, but, typical of folks in their 20s, don't get to do any of them nearly enough. I'm also big into diversity issues and helped co-found the Arizona chapter of Swirl, Inc., a group for the mixed race community (www.swirlinc.org). I hope to one day take my career to New York City in either the advertising or editorial fields.
