Damn, break ups and unrequited loves suck. I wanted to produce an image that would give an adequate visual of what I was going through, so I painted dozens of boquets being cut with silver scissors. All the while the central figure is surrounded by Tarot cards as figure to many possible fortunes. The figure has many possible outcomes, only to draw the "lovers" and the "Death" card as if his fortune could only consisted of broken love and "not to be" relationships.
The "Grand Avenue Gentrification Project" t-shirt came afterwards when I realized that the figure had an large empty space to play with.
