Lifelines. Battlelines.

3' x 2' acrylic/canvas. One of the "Possible Futures" paintings from my solo museum exhibit that utilized my 8 solo murals and 27 Contemporary Realism paintings for the theme of the show "Dawn to Dawn-Past, Present, Possible Futures" at the Az. Museum of Natural History Oct. 3, 2003- Jan. 11, 2004. The following narrative is from the museum docent guide for the show. "There are 7 states (5 of them river border states) fighting
for a limited supply of an irreplaceable substance that we seem to take for granted in the desert. It’s been
going on for hundreds of years and will only get uglier. The states are painted using references from topographic and environmental maps, showing urban (red), forest woodland (green), grass-grazing land (sage), and shrub-wasteland (beige)." 9/03
