Time For A Change Of Scenery

12" x 30" acrylic/canvas One of the "Possible Futures" paintings from my solo museum exhibit that utilized my 8 solo murals and 27 Contemporary Realism paintings for the theme of the show "Dawn to Dawn-Past, Present, Possible Futures" at the Az. Museum of Natural History Oct. 3, 2003- Jan. 11, 2004. The following narrative is from the museum docent guide for the show. "This is a view we see all too often during our
winter season. The inversion layer- basically the cold weather keeps our pollution trapped and every morning
we are greeted with a layer of brown crud to breathe in deep. “According to a nationally recognized researcher 200-1000 people die each year breathing Valley air. When it comes to the Brown Cloud, which is fed primarily by vehicle exhaust, conditions have worsened. State scientists can show you the evidence: A study concluded that the“cleanest” hours of the day in 1993 were, by 1998 93% dirtier.” Mary Jo Pitzl Az. Rep. 2/21/2003 8/03
