The Willow House

So you’ve stumbled across The Willow House. It happens to people every day. Maybe you’ve lived in Phoenix all your life; maybe you just arrived downtown. Now you find yourself drawn to that odd little cottage on the corner of 3rd Avenue and McDowell. Go on in and you’ll find that we serve coffee. It’s true! It’s even really good coffee from a roaster who cares about beans. We also serve real food, prepared by a crew of multi-talented baristas.

Here, you’ll find exactly what you need, even if you didn’t know you were looking for it: a place to meet and talk with friends and strangers while enjoying a tasty beverage, a place to experience the work of local artists, musicians, and craftspeople, a place to plug in your laptop, read the paper, have a meeting, or play a game. It’s not any one thing in particular that has made The Willow House like a home to people in downtown Phoenix for 14 years, but we believe there’s something here for everybody, and everybody is welcome.

The Willow House not only provides a place for artists to smoke cigarettes and talk about politics, we provide space for them to show and sell their work. Every month we feature different local artists as part of our participation in Phoenix’s First Fridays, and we also continually display works by some of Phoenix’s finest, from school-aged impresarios to seasoned artists.
